In the age of "PC computers and wireless phone," abundance of ideas and information are available at our fingertips. The use of these resources depend on the judgement and problem-solving skills of a person. The arrays of technological advancement in the field of communication and information can be of help in making the life of a person either easier or difficult in this complex and modern world of ours.

Modern technologies and economic progress in one way or another can complicate life due to the insatiable wants that lead people to do more work and/or acquire more debts which cause unhappiness in the midst of abundance. However, technology can most often give people the resources to be able to communicate, to acquire knowledge and information and to develop new skills.

As a multicultural teacher, lecturer and instructor of human resources development projects, I find it very useful and effective to make a "Learning Log" in the form of written notes in my notebook or in the floppy disk of my computer. This way, I can easily share ideas or teach people who want to make a difference in their lives. My learning log keeps me "going, growing and glowing" in performing my daily job and allows me to help other people understand important issues that affect their lives.
